After Kevin Durant's season ended with a defeat against the Minnesota Timberwolves, another former Golden State Warriors player finds himself out of the postseason race.

In a gripping showdown led by Jalen Brunson's heroics, the New York Knicks surged into the second round, extinguishing the Philadelphia 76ers' hopes in six intense games.

Joining the ranks of former Warriors experiencing an early offseason exit is Kelly Oubre Jr. Transitioning from the Warriors to the 76ers, Oubre Jr. showcased his skills with a notable performance, notching 17 points on 7-of-14 shooting, accompanied by five rebounds, a steal, a block, and an assist across 43 minutes. Oubre Jr. also displayed his prowess from beyond the arc, sinking three triples against the Knicks on Thursday night, trailing only Buddy Hield in the +/- category with a commendable +8.

Throughout the six-game series against the Knicks, Oubre Jr. maintained an average of 13.1 points in the first round of the playoffs. However, the Knicks found no solution to Brunson's dominance. The Villanova alum exploded for 41 points on 13-of-27 shooting, adding 12 assists and three rebounds in 44 minutes of relentless action. Brunson's stellar performance marked his fourth consecutive game with 39 or more points, cementing his status as a force to be reckoned with.

As the Knicks march forward, they now prepare to clash with the Indiana Pacers in the upcoming second round of the playoffs.
